The History

Roger & Wendy Auckland are both Optometrists. The practice was started by Victor Auckland at the end of the Second World War. Initially working from his front room in Clayton West, Huddersfield, then moving to larger premises in Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield and later establishing a head office and manufacturing laboratory in Horbury, Wakefield. Today we have 6 practices spanning West and South Yorkshire.

Caroline Auckland-Shone, Optometrist and Managing Director. Having taken over the family business from my father in 2009, with 14 years experience as an Optometrist I feel I can offer a new and exciting experience to all our patients, young and old.
