Sight Testing

NHS Sight Tests are available Free to all those eligible. Private sight tests are ONLY £20.70.

Contact Lenses offer a great alternative to glasses, with advances in technology enabling superior comfort, vision, and convenience to suit your lifestyle and wear pattern. An annual checkup costs £25.00 and includes as many aftercare visits as you require. If you pay for your contact lenses by standing order this service is FREE.

Dyslexia and Colour vision

ChromaGen coloured lenses can help people with Dyslexia, AD/HD colour deficiency. A consultation costs £50.00.

Fundus Photography

Our Skelmanthorpe practice has a digital fundus camera that takes high resolution pictures of the back of the eye. We will store and compare on your next visit or you may wish to have your pictures emailed or printed off.

Laboratory Services

Auckland Opticians have two dedicated optical labs offering exceptional optical lenses and state of the art equipment. Because we are independent we are able to offer lenses from all the leading manufacturers: Kodak, Nikon, Ziess, Sola to name but a few.

NHS Patients

We carry out NHS sight testing which can entitle patients to free sight tests and in some cases help towards the cost of glasses. See below to see if you qualify.
